Although this is meant for a patio, terrace, yard, etc.. I purchased it for my kitchen. My dog was constantly in our standard kitchen can-you could just stick the nose under the lid. the kind with a pedal and flip top cover are not good for us both: I was always tipping can, etc.. also kitchen size bags they fill up very quickly with a family of 5 people.
